Doug Barron's infamous case of drug use


As the first player who was canceled to participate in the GPA Tour because of using drug, Doug Barron has not given up golf competition. On the contrary, he has entered for the Small Tour in North Carolina.

Doug Barron was tested out he had using the testosterone and propranolol (propranolol, a β-receptor blocker) on the St.Jude Classic. For that, the GPA punished him to disable to take part in the GPA for a year. For this punishment, Doug Barron explained that he used those drugs under the doctors' guidance.

Doug Barron had paid 2,250 dollars for the PGA Tour. He is going to take park in the PGA Tour which has 18 races a year. Last year, the players of this PGA got 140 thousand dollar most. But they are still willing to part with famous golf equipment, for example, Ping G10 Driver.

The Chief Operating Officer of the Stewart Moore said that this GPA Tour will not check the play whether use the drug. And will not ban the player enter the race as the other PGA at the same time.

So far, the World Golf Foundation announces that they will not implement the rules on the use of drug because they can offer this expense.

Doug Barron, who is 40 years old, could not apply for GPA Card these years, has prosecuted the PGA on the issue of suspension. In November, he wanted to receive the Court's temporary restraining for participating in the PGA Tour's qualifying school, but without success.

Doug Barron explained that he used the drug just for his health. At the same time, the PGA denoted that his doctor had refused his application for drug.
