Callaway(Callaway Hyper X Driver) was founded by Ely Callaway in 1982 and used to be known as Callaway Hickory Stick USA,Inc.At the begining,they mainly producted golf Putter whose most important part was club for it was not producted by iron but Hickory.

Callaway created a brand new product and brougt the company to a new higher place in 1988.This product was known for its " Short, Straight, Hollow Hosel"." Short, Straight, Hollow Hosel" was known as S2H2.S2H2 was a revolutionary product which was designed with a shoter and hollow nick.Such a frame and avity back-type club and Bore-through design helped to reduced the weight of the nick but increase the hitting face's weight.The company's name was changed to be Callaway Golf Company nearly at the same time.

A year's later,the designing idea of S2H2 extended to the Irons.However,the iron-head still kept its traditional size.At that time,the club of S2H2 had been made by iron or carbon instead of Hickory.S2H2 Driver's usage rate had been the first place at the enior PGA.and its achievement had reached to 2150 million dollar.
